Something exciting to me that is!
If you've toured our teeny, tiny condo at the beach, then you may remember this wall in the living room.
Blah, boring and most of all, barren.
I've dreamed of what I'd like to do with this wall ever since we completed the reno of the condo.
Well, guess what? This past weekend we hauled in some of these...
...did a lot of this...
...and a lot of this.
And when we left Sunday evening it looked like this!
I cannot tell you how excited I am to be getting these bookcases. The cabinets will be great for extra storage and the shelves will give me a place to play!
If you follow me on Pinterest, you'll see that I have several bookcases pinned to my Beach Condo board. This is why!
It will take us several weeks to get them finished since we don't live there. You better believe that I'll show you the end result when they're finished!
I owe big hugs and lots of smooches to this sweet man for building the bookcases for me!

LOVE built-in's. I've been trying to convince my husband to sell our patio home at the beach and buy a fixer-upper home I've found for sale there, and as you might imagine, I already have it decorated 'in my head'. My 'plan' was for built-in's much like Kate's at Centsational Girl did in her bonus room w/ the blue wall on the back of them. I was also imagining a backsplash just like the one you've installed in your beach condo. Your fabric choices are so my taste. Everything looks great! I know you can't wait to get back down there to finish and style them! Now, if I can just get my husband on board w/ my 'plan'. ;o)

ReplyDeleteWOW, that Pookie is Mr. Something!!! You are so lucky he is such a great handyman and can share your visions! You always do such a great job styling bookcases, I know you must be soooo excited and I can't wait to see what comes out of the new "playbox". These bookshelves will make the whole room feel more like a home rather than a vacation condo...and the storage will be great too! Score a big one for Pookie!!!
